How glass packaging is packed for export

Cartons and dividers

Glass is usually packed in strong export cartons with cardboard dividers or trays, so bottles do not touch each other. Decorated bottles may be packed in bags or with extra separation to protect the finish.

Pallets

Cartons are stacked on pallets, wrapped and strapped. Pallet height and weight are planned for the container and for safe handling at your warehouse.

Sea, air and express

Full orders usually travel by sea. Air freight is faster for urgent stock, and express couriers are used for samples and small orders.

What to ask your supplier

Ask for the packing method, the quantity per carton and pallet, and photos of the packed goods before shipping. Agree how carton labels and marks should look so goods are easy to receive.
